Book Review: A Seal’s Vow by Cora Seton

Navy SEAL Clay Pickett needs a wife, fast, or he’ll lose the model sustainable community he and his friends came home to Chance Creek to build. He’s got just the woman for the job in mind: sexy, sensitive Nora Ridgeway. Too bad she’s not interested in rushing to the altar.

When Nora leaves her job as a school teacher to open a Jane Austen Bed and Breakfast with her friends—and finally get a chance to write her novel—she’s relieved to escape the escalating threats of violence from an unknown student stalker, and more than a little interested in the Navy SEAL who’s after her heart. But when trouble starts stalking her at Chance Creek, Nora begins to wonder if she’s left her past behind after all.

Can Clay and Nora find a way to be together when everything is trying to tear them apart?

The premise for the “Seals of Chance Creek” series is fun, a group of four Seal friends that want to build a sustainable community, meet up with Nora and her friends that want to live a simple Jane Austin lifestyle and focus on this aspiring talent, throw in a TV reality show and the premise that 10 men have to be married in a year and you end up with some fast-paced and enjoyable love stories!

Like all of the other books that Cora Seton writes,  The Seals of Chance Creek is another successful series! Once I started this book I didn’t want to put it down and ended up reading it the same day I received it. Like all of Cora Seton’s books, this story makes you pull for the characters and root for them to make it to their happily ever after. In all of Cora Seton’s book the characters are well developed and the imagery that runs through the books makes you want to jump a plane and make way for Montana. Luckily for me, I live in Montana and I can attest that everything is right on! This book particularly moved me through so many different emotions, there was laughter, fear, extreme sadness that brought on tears, and love, boy was there love! Great job on another wonderful book and addition to the Seals of Chance Creek series! I can’t wait to take another visit back to Chance Creek and to see who is up next to get married! Who draws the next short straw?
